B127: Old Shep/ The Fido Fotos

So, as many of you know, Charlie has a cute little doggie called Benji. And we are all mad about him. What you might not know is that before Benji, there was another dog….. called Fido. And before Elf on The Shelf was a thing, there were the Fido Fotos!

OK, who was Fido? Well, Fido was a stuffed toy sheep dog that I gave Charlie for our first Valentine’s Day as he wanted a dog so much. He was delighted with him. And that was that…or so I thought. Until, photos of Fido getting up to all sorts of mischief started popping into our work email in the weeks that followed. Usually on a wet Monday morning……..or a woeful Wednesday…when the weekend was a lifetime away.

We never did find out who was sending them from Charlie’s email address …… as it couldn’t possibly have been him, as he was working far too hard! 😂But they gave us all a good laugh as they usually came with a good story. They ended all too soon!

Whenever I hear “Old Shep” by Elvis (a favourite song as a child), I always think of Fido and the Fido Fotos. And that is what the blog is about this week. (Pretty short as the photos speak for themselves!) PS: No toy dogs were harmed in the making of this blog!!
